Training Materials

The workshop is organized around four different training modules and interactive labs that integrate hands-on work with data and software. A summary of each module is provided below, along with links to training materials and lab exercises. 

module 1: introduction

This module provides an overview of basic network concepts and their application in the criminal justice and violence prevention fields. Related Training Materials include:

This module covers the ins-and-outs of network data, including: where to find network data, how to manage network data, and what to do once you've gathered network data.

This module covers some of the basic "rules" surrounding creating network visualizations and interpreting them.

This module is for more advanced users and relies mainly on the RStudio software. Its objective is to familiarize users with some of the basic metrics in analyzing social networks.
